What Happened
Back in 2006, two young mothers crossed paths with a woman they would never forget. It was December 1st, and Maria and her friend Janice were leaving a doctor's appointment in Fort Myers with their babies when a woman in a dark-colored SUV pulled up asking for directions to Pine Manor.
She said she was from Tampa and having a hard time finding her mother's house. Maria and Janice told her they couldn't help and went on their way, getting on a local bus.
But when they got off at their stop, the same woman was there again, approaching them a second time, still asking about how to get to Pine Manor. This time, Maria and Janice got into her vehicle with their babies and offered to help her find the neighborhood.
They drove for a short time before the woman said she recognized where she was and even saw her mother's car, so she began heading back out of the area to drop the girls off. As the SUV slowed to a stop, Janice stepped out with her child first, while Maria and her baby were still inside getting ready to follow.
But before Maria could get out, the driver pulled a knife and sped off with her and her baby still inside the vehicle. Maria was later driven south to a church parking lot in Estero, where she was forced out, and the SUV pulled away again with 28-day-old Bryan still inside.
He hasn't been seen since.

Suspect
The woman driving the SUV was described as being in her late 20s at the time and reportedly told people she had recently given birth.
Vehicle
A dark-colored SUV. There was a car seat and baby items inside the vehicle, which made the situation seem more believable.

Another person in the same area reported being approached by a similar SUV that same day, but chose not to get inside.

When the SUV slowed to let them out, Janice exited first with her child. Before Maria could get out with Bryan, the driver pulled a knife and sped away with Maria and Bryan still inside.

Maria was later driven south to a church parking lot in Estero and forced out of the vehicle. The SUV then drove away with Bryan still inside.
Still unsolved
Bryan has not been seen since. In 2025, NCMEC released an updated age-progressed image showing what he may look like today.
